National award winning artists, The Kruger Brothers take traditional American acoustics and folk to a original and entertaining musical experience. Their music is informed by European stylings of their native Switzerland and their adopted home in Wilkes County, NC. They perform with a virtuosity shaped by their old-school mastery of banjo and guitar and their association with Doc Watson and Bill Monroe. The result is a musical style that borrows from Bluegrass, Old Time, and Classical traditions. Jens Kruger is the 2013 winner of the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass, the highest award in his field.
