I can’t see or hear the name “Doobie Brothers” without having an immediate flashback to What’s Happening? and Roj asking, “Which Doobie you be?” Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons are the only original members still standing since 1970, though John McFee joined in the 1980s. Of course, for some, the band has never been the same since Michael McDonald left in 1987. This one’s purely a nostalgia trip. (Jeff Hahne)
