LAWN ORDER: After a brief car chase, police managed to force a man driving a stolen car off the road into someone's front yard. After the car thief gave himself up and the police arrested him, they decided to also charge him with damaging the person's lawn.

HOMEMADE TAX RELIEF: Someone broke into a man's car and stole a $500 tollbooth pass.

WHEN 1954 MET 2004: A man came home from work one evening to discover that his wife hadn't yet prepared dinner for him. This act of disobedience required him to pound on her face.

BAD DAY AT SCHOOL?: A student decided he'd had enough one morning and walked off campus. A security guard yelled for him to return but he did not. The guard reported that the young man walked to the end of the block, picked up a rock, and bashed in two side windows on a car. He then went around to the rear of the car and threw another rock through the back window.

PERIPATETIC PERP: A man called police to report that an unknown man had stolen and used his name and driver's license number to obtain $1,337.75 worth of property at several locations throughout the city.

THAT'S A LOT OF DAMN LIRE!: According to police, a caller said that someone used his credit card number and obtained $813.94 in Italy by unauthorized use of a credit card machine. That total comes to 1,321,493.82 Lire. But how many Euros?

BOB MARLEY HE'S NOT: A woman called police to report incessant harassment from an unknown man. She told police that he constantly calls her but doesn't speak. Instead, he blares obscene reggae lyrics over the phone.

HYPOCHONDRIAC ID THEFT: According to police, a man called them to report that his personal information had been stolen and that someone used it to open several accounts at area medical facilities. He said the man used his name and social security number to be admitted to hospitals and assisted living centers.

BEWARE OF THE DOGNAPPERS: In two separate cases recently, unknown people stole a woman's German Shepherd puppy and a man's four Bulldog puppies from their yards. The Bulldog puppies are valued at $3,200.
