CROOKS OUT FOR REVENGE: An employee at Empire Gear Wear at 6510 Albemarle Road observed a woman trying to steal jeans and a pair of shorts. He kicked the woman out of the store. She threatened to beat his ass and then left the scene. A few minutes later, she returned with a huge rock in her hands and hurled it through the store's front window.
FITS OF JEALOUSY: An 18-year-old woman was at her boyfriend's house when he started an argument about the state of their relationship. He grabbed the woman's phone and searched her call log to see if other men had called. Not happy with his findings, the man pushed the woman to the ground. He then took a black marker and wrote all over her phone to further upset her. He succeeded: she called the police to get his ass arrested.
PARKING UPTOWN CAN BE BRUTAL: A 23-year-old woman was searching for a place to park Uptown. When she spotted one, she swung her car into the space, unaware that another woman also had her eye on the spot. The other woman, thinking the space rightfully hers, jumped out of her car and told the woman she was going to beat her ass if she didn't move her car.
ACCIDENT OR BAD KARMA: A 55-year-old man was walking past a construction site when a beam fell on him. He suffered a broken ankle and a possible punctured lung.
THREAT OF THE WEEK: A 27-year-old woman was threatened by an acquaintance because she was trying to play peacemaker. Her acquaintance called her in the middle of the night and said, "Are you trying to get in the middle of me and Donna's dispute? If you are, I will kill you, Donna and her family." The woman reported feeling intimidated by the advisory. Nevertheless, it was unclear if she learned to mind her own business.
