SWEET TOOTH: An 11-year-old elementary school student said he was assaulted by two eighth grade boys while riding the school bus home. He said one of the boys pinned him down in the back of the bus, while the other stole candy out of his hand and threatened to do bodily harm to him if he told anyone.

SAME GIRL DRAMA: A 22-year-old man said he was at a bar in the University area when he ran into his ex-girlfriend and her new man. When the two crossed paths, he said his ex's man started making insulting comments to him. The man tried to ignore the comments, but eventually started talking trash back and his ex's man punched him in the face.

A LOVER SCORNED: A 33-year-old man said he received 25 phone calls in a two-day span from a female friend he said was harassing him. He asked the woman to stop calling, but the calls continued. Each time she called he said she kept saying over and over, "I know you're engaged to someone."

WHEN KIDS ATTACK: A 25-year-old detention officer at a Charlotte middle school said she was assaulted by a student. When she was trying to restrain him because he was acting up, he bit her right thumb. She had to receive medical attention for the bite.

BLAME IT ON THE RISING PRICE OF GAS: A 46-year-old man said he saw a man pull into his neighbor's driveway on the 4000 block of Spicewood Drive and pick up a gas can that was in the carport. He said the man poured the gas into his vehicle and put the gas can back in the carport. The man then drove off.

TEAMWORK IN ACTION: An employee of Office Max, located on University City Boulevard, said two men entered the store and grabbed several pieces of computer equipment and ran out the store without paying for them. A few hours later, a third man came into the store trying to return the stolen merchandise for a refund. When the employee told him the items were stolen, the man ran out the store with the items still in his hands.
