Bizarre crimes from the Charlotte police reports

SICK AND TIRE-D: Maybe you've felt like throttling an employee at the DMV, post office, florist or candy store. Add a tire shop to that list, and you've got a recent report. A customer at a tire shop took issue with the price of a tire and threatened to assault the employee. The employee called the cops.

FAMILIES BYTE: A man told police that a family member damaged his $150 computer monitor by pouring water on it. The family member then "left on foot."

THAT'S SUCCINCT: Here's the police narrative in total: "The victim states that he came home and found that his house had been shot up."

PUNCH DRUNK: A man attempted to shoplift an 18-pack of Bud light, an 18-pack of Budweiser and two sticks of Axe deodorant when the drug store's assistant manager confronted him. Cornered, the suspect had to act fast ... so he punched him.

A TOKER AND JOKER: A man was arrested because he dropped $15 of pot on the ground ... in plain view of a cop.

BOOKED: A man was arrested because he tried to sneak a book out of a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library in his pants. The title? "Change or Die."

BLOODLESS DIAMOND: A man reported his $1,300 diamond ring was stolen from his gym locker while he was working out. No injuries, no damages to the lockers and no evidence that it had been broken into -- the locker was locked before the man discovered his loss.
