The Arts at Queens presents an evening with art and music featuring trio music of Dvořák and Fauré performed by musicians Tanja Bechtler, Paul Nitsch and Peter deVries. Cellist Tanja Bechtler is founder and director of the Bechtler Ensemble, which offers performances that connect the historical and creative contents of music pieces to selected works of modern art. She has been an orchestral player with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and has performed professionally at Lincoln Center and the Spoleto Festival. Pianist Paul Nitsch is the Carolyn G. McMahon Professor of Music and the Macavity Artist-in Residence at Queens.
