The Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas is a 4-day Multi-cultural festival which takes place on Thomas and Commonwealth Avenues in the heart of the Plaza Midwood Community. The festival presents continuous entertainment,and local, regional and international vendors. On Thursday, June 13th, the Culture Camp is held at Elizabeth Traditional Elementary School for youth ages 4-16. Pre-registration encouraged. Friday, June 14th, from 6-10 PM on Thomas Avenue the ever popular "Drum Circle" happens with a diverse group of drummers and dancers. Saturday and Sunday festival activities include entertainment, multi-cultural vendors, a Health Village, Children's Village, the Gospel fest & more.
