The annual Swim Across America - Charlotte open water swim that makes waves to fight cancer will be held Sunday, October 6, at Camp Thunderbird. The swim raises crucial funds for cancer research for its local beneficiary Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children's Hospital. Swim Across America - Charlotte will return for its 8th annual open water charity swim at Camp Thunderbird YMCA on Lake Wylie on Sunday, October 6, 2024. The event features half-mile, one-mile, and two-mile swim options with proceeds supporting community beneficiaries Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children's Hospital.
