The Charlotte Run/Walk for Peace at Home 5K raises funds and awareness to benefit local victims of domestic violence. Memorial Day Celebration The festival kicks off with five- and eight-mile-long trail races. Bechtler Museum of Modern Art Appetite for Risk: Works by Emilio Stanzani. Though small — the exhibit only contains 12 works created by Stanzani between 1956 and 1968 — it provides insight into the styles of his works, which vary from abstract drawings, sketches and paintings that are polychromatic and shape shifting, to more representational sculptures of wood, stone and bronze. Elder Gallery Carolina's Got Art. Mint Museum Randolph New Eyes on America: The Genius of Richard Caton Woodville. McColl Center for Visual Art Connectivity. Creative Loafing Tire Change Challenge NASCAR fans can test their tire-changing skills on a full-size race car during the day on Friday at the CL booth.
