On Saturday, May 7, students across the county will host lemonade stands at all 109 CMS elementary schools to “Squeeze the Digital Divide” in partnership with local digital inclusion nonprofit Eliminate the Digital Divide (E2D). Money raised at the lemonade stands will be used by E2D to ensure all CSM students have access to home-based technology like computers and affordable internet. Lemonade stands will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on May 7. Currently, more than 24,000 CMS families are in need of basic educational technology and training.
