Mexican tradition honors the dead by giving them a day of their own. This year you can celebrate Día de los Muertos at Levine Museum of the New South by eating traditional foods, watching dances and viewing arts and crafts. But that's not all. If you can't make it there, Plaza Midwood has Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos): A Celebration with Art & Music happening at Pura Vida Worldly Art the day before (Sat., Nov. 1). The event features original art to be displayed along with live music and an altar, where guests are invited to place pictures of deceased loved ones.
