Charlotte's summer of Pride kicks off today with the start of our annual Black Gay Pride celebration — themed, this time around, "Together We Can." For 2011, expect to find a host of official events, like community forums, meet-and-greets, workshops, a film festival and more. (Details at www.charlotteblackgaypride.com) And, along with the official events, be on the lookout for dozens of gay-friendly activities taking place across town — such as the multi-day soiree Boi-ology, which promises "four days and three nights of all-male Pride events." Boi-ology organizers are slated to serve up numerous day and night parties, an annual boat ride and a Sunday brunch, among tons of other stuff. Continues through July 17. For ticket prices, venues and times, visit www.boi-ologycharlotte.com.
