The Firebird Arts Alliance presents the CHARLOTTE PREMIERE of one of western art music’s greatest compositions – Gustav Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde (The Song of the Earth). This music of overwhelming longing, love and departure will be accompanied by projected Chinese calligraphy and fine art. Also featuring Arnold Schonberg’s rarely-performed – Friede auf Erden.
