Once you're familiar with architect Frank Gehry (and you will be after watching Sketches of Frank Gehry at Bechtler Museum of Modern Art), identifying his deconstructivist buildings becomes pretty simple. The biggest giveaway: an unconventional structure that exceeds your ideas of far out. We're talking: "Who designed that?!?!" Take the non-traditional Dancing House in Prague — designed by Gehry with architect Vlado Milunić. Its whimsical shape stands out from the overabundance of Art Noveau, Baroque-styled structures that distinctively make up the historic city. More of Gehry's famous works include the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles, California, in addition to his own home — an oddity wrapped up in metal, steel, plywood and chain fencing. The 2005 documentary, directed by Sydney Pollack examines Gehry's personality while deconstructing the architectual wonders he's responsible for designing.
