As a contestant on the SPEED Network's 2007 Road Tour Challenge, Scott English is developing quite a tale to tell.

He is one of four NASCAR fans traveling cross-country for the first 13 races of the season competing for the grand prize ... an offer to become a member of the SPEED road tour crew for the remainder of the 2007 season. Even if he doesn't win the big prize, Scott is thrilled to have the opportunity to meet some of his favorite drivers and get exclusive access to his favorite sport.

A native of Hickory, N.C., English fell in love with NASCAR when his father took him to his first race in 1981 and has followed the sport ever since.

"When I got my first three tests back in college and they didn't equal 100, I knew I needed to find something else I was good at," says English. "So I told my dad I needed a few hundred bucks for books and bought a guitar with his money instead." His investment definitely paid off -- catch English performing on the Road Tour Challenge or live at Lake Norman Vinnies this summer.

English combines country, rap and rock to form a Kid Rock sound with hilarious lyrics that leave drivers like Kasey Kahne, Carl Edwards and David Stremme asking for more. "I sing it all, write it all, and play it all," English says. Check him out at www.scottenglishmusic.com.

Though having the time of his life, English "puts the work in network" and hopes to get his name out there enough to one day have his own show combining his love of music and racing. "My goal is to have a show where I can bring fans to the drivers and drivers to the fans."
