RUMBLE IN THE CONCRETE JUNGLE
Even if you have no interest in biking, the title of this U.S. National Whitewater Center event will pique your curiosity. That’s because the center is draining its whitewater channels for two bike races — a downhill race and a short-track bike race. The course takes full advantage of the banked channel walls, wooden structures, jumps, and other obstacles. Talk about making use of non-traditional spaces. (Anita Overcash)
