On the heels of the Back Alley Film Series’ August offering, Adjust Your Tracking: The Untold Story of the VHS Collector, comes another movie that examines the cultural revolution spawned by the once-mighty videocassette. Rewind This!, the first film in a new local series titled The Cinematic Experience, explores the history of home entertainment from various angles, including the battle between VHS and Beta, the porn explosion and the proliferation of straight-to-tape movies. The Cinematic Experience, billed as a “series on the importance of why we watch movies,” continues throughout the remainder of the year with more titles. Held in UNC-Charlotte's McKnight Hall.
