If you haven’t seen Leo Twiggs’ powerful “Requiem for Mother Emanuel,” this closing-night event offers the perfect opportunity. You’ll hear Charlotte resident and former N.C. Sen. Malcolm Graham share his experience of losing a sister in the Charleston tragedy that serves as subject of the exhibit. You’ll also see works by other artists including painters, photographers, musicians, dancers, spoken-word poets and more. And if we’re lucky, Dr. Twiggs himself might show up.
Price: Free.
