Join us for a free artist talk during Open Studio Saturday on October 27 at 1 PM when alumna artist Marcia Jones conducts an in-depth discussion about her “Displaced Oshun Theory” and her provocative works of art that were featured in the Harvey B. Gantt Center exhibition, Live and in Stereo(type). Marcia Jones raised eyebrows when her mixed media work of art juxtaposed imagery of an African mask, million dollar bills featuring the face of First Lady Michelle Obama, and an exotic dancer.
