NIGHT GARDEN

Forget the camera. It’s not necessary for what Brooklyn-based artist Liz Nielsen dubs as “photograms.” Using handmade negatives and light and darkroom techniques, she has developed a knack for the designs. Her works are colorful and play with intersecting lines and shapes, in addition to techniques that add glossiness and depth. It’s a kind of abstract blur between painting, photography and collage.
