New Year's package includes: five course dinner, a glass of champagne, music, and party favors. Special, early and late sittings available. $69 per person.

Big Chill

New Year's Eve package that includes: One bottle of champagne per couple, party favors, balloon drop at midnight, entertainment, and valet parking. $125 per person. The "Mini package" includes: One glass of champagne at midnight for a toast, light hors d'oeuvres, party favors, live entertainment, and a balloon drop at midnight. Standing room only. Entrance after 10pm. $35 per person. A special menu will also be available.

Bistro 100

Ringing in the New Year with a special evening of food and wine. Menu will feature dishes considered the best from their past 10 years in Charlotte. Included will be a special selection of appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. Everything will be served a la carte and wine suggestions will be offered with each dish.

Capital Grille

In addition to the regular dinner menu will be a surf & turf special for $45.95, a stone crab claw appetizer for $7.50 per claw, and a champagne toast for $5 per person (if they choose). Will have complimentary hats, noisemakers, etc. Reservations are required and taken from 5pm-11pm.

Chaos and Jordan's Bar and Grill

Enjoy two party atmospheres with the new Chaos high energy dance club. Award winning DJs Jody and Jus Chris will spin a mix of favorite club hits and at Jordan's downstairs, DJ Christian will spin the best of the retro 80s. Charlotte Repertory Theatre

Second annual New Year's Eve fundraising gala will feature Murder at the Booth II: Murder Gras. Written by Will Culp and directed by Roger Durrett, it is an original and interactive murder mystery involving prominent members of the community and selected guests. Three ticket choices available. $85 per person: includes valet parking, heavy hors d'oeuvres, beverages and the Mardi Gras Murder Mystery performance. $115 per person: includes all of the above plus a private post-show party at Bistro 100 complete with jazz entertainment, fruit/cheese/dessert buffet, midnight champagne toast, a deluxe coffee bar and party favors. $295 per couple including all of the above plus an overnight stay for two at the Charlotte Marriott City Center Hotel, plus parking and 2pm late check-out on New Year's Day For tickets, call 704-372-1000.

Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra

Join Maestro Albert E. Moehring, Music Director/Conductor as he conducts the 75 piece Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra in a special New Year's concert. Les Marple performs the music of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. The Charlotte City Ballet will be dancing to the music of Johann Strauss and the Eddie Mabry dancers will also be performing. Saturday, January 5 at 8pm in Belk Theater at the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $15-$35 and may be purchased by calling from 9am to 5pm.

Children's Theatre

"Children's New Year's Eve with Thomas Moore." Professional and amateur musicians and dancers of all ages will perform in this hour-long variety show. 11am and 1pm. Tickets $6 for children under 12, $8 general admission. They can be purchased at Black Forest Books and Toys at 115 Cherokee Rd.

Cibi

Two seatings: $65 per person: Five course meal and bottle of wine included. Seating between 6 and 6:30 pm (no later than 6:30), entertainment starts at 7pm.

$125 per person: Five course meal. Also includes drinks (all), champagne, and party favors. Entertainment starts at 10pm. Bar closes at 1am.

Cino Grille
