This week, two new shops land on Charlotte's retail scene for your shopping pleasure. On Sept. 29, an accessories boutique opens its first location, in the Arboretum (8124 Providence Road). Versona Accessories (which also plans stores in Columbia, S.C., Baton Rouge, La., and Louisville, Ky.) will offer jewelry, handbags, shoes, belts, scarves, hair accessories, sunglasses and more, and at an "exceptional value." For more information, find them on Facebook.
In another part of town, Social Status also opens Sept. 29 at 1519 Central Ave. Fulfilling the role Flava Factory (formerly at 2041 South Blvd., Suite D) played in the city, Social Status will offer hard-to-find sneakers, streetwear and fashion brands by Nike, Adidas, Billionaires Boys Club, Ralph Lauren and more. The shop will also offer its own signature brand, bearing the same name as the store, with a minimalist design.
