When: Tue., March 31, 2-3:30 p.m. 2015

In this free presentation especially for family caregivers, learn about music therapy and its benefits for enhancing short-term and long-term memory and improving quality of life. Music therapist Danielle Glefke will show how music can help people with early-stage dementia cope with their surroundings. As stages of memory loss progress, music can provide a familiar structure for accessing memories and abilities that are not yet lost. You'll leave with techniques to use at home with your loved one. This presentation is offered at 2 - 3:30 pm and repeated at 6 - 7:30 pm. RSVP at 704/909-2070.
