In the 1980s there emerged the first major hip-hop tour, dubbed the Fresh Fest, featuring now legendary rappers like Run DMC, The Sugar Hill Gang and Kurtis Blow. If you're a lover of old-school hip-hop, there's a reunion coming to town you'll want to attend. The Fresh Fest: Old School Reunion 2008 reiterates the fact that hip-hop will never die -- at least, not the good stuff anyway (we really can't say too much for what all's on the radio nowadays). Featuring Naughty By Nature, Big Daddy Kane, Doug E Fresh, Slick Rick, Whodini and the Force MD's, this concert will transform Cricket Arena into the biggest dance party in the Q.C. $35.50-$42.50. 8 p.m. Cricket Arena, 2700 E. Independence Blvd. 704-377-6472. www.ticketmaster.com.
