Celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the band's first album, Slipknot will roll into town for its All Hope is Gone Tour with Coheed and Cambria and Trivium. The band explores the melodic side on the new album, but isn't afraid to go back to its roots and hit you fast and furiously. Known to have a long list of concert-related injuries on just about every tour, to say that Slipknot's show is energetic and physical would be an understatement. While the masks they wear are part of the art, they may also be for protection. (See an interview with singer Corey Taylor in the Vibes section of this week's paper.) $38-$45. 7 p.m. Bojangles' Coliseum, 2700 E. Independence Blvd. www.cricketarenacharlotte.com.
