After releasing her sophomore album Hello...x, California gal Tristan Prettyman is continuing to tour. She's playing all those acoustic melodies that blur between pop and a mixture of country, blues and folk. Take for instance, the album's first single "Madly Madly," which is gleefully streaming with guitar, piano and drum beats. Then there's the more folk-inspired tracks like "Don't Work Yourself Up" and "Interview with Who." Whatever the track, one things for sure. Prettyman gets emotional on topics about love, heartache and personal renewal. She's perfect for fans of pop-rock songstress Sara Bareille, and she even seems like the girl version of indie/folk singer Matt Costa. Check her out. $15. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. 1615 Elizabeth Ave. 704-358-9200. www.visulite.com.
