Music: Dylan is alive and well

THURSDAY, JUNE 5

Jakob Dylan, frontman of The Wallflowers, is making his way to Charlotte in support of his debut solo album Seeing Things. The gorgeous blue-eyed baby boy (yes, I'll be listening and drooling during this show) of Bob Dylan, has created an album full of acoustic-folk inspired and country-fused songs that remain on a jagged borderline between optimism and pessimism. So hop in your car (one headlight or not) and cruise over to the Neighborhood Theatre to see this hottie of raw emotions in action. Opening act will be The Gold Mountain Rebels. $20. 8 p.m. The Neighborhood Theatre, 511 E. 36th St. 704-358-9298. www.neighborhoodtheatre.com.
