Saturday, May 20th is Mushroom Day at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market. Today our vendors will be passing out recipes that call for this beloved fungus from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. Mushrooms are great for adding texture and flavor to various meals and soups. They can be used as meat substitutes for vegetarians. Some mushrooms even are touted has having medicinal benefits.
