Charlotte’s Melt is onomatopoetically perfect. Phil Pucci’s smudgy guitar riffs seem to drift as if becoming liquid. His floating vocal lines stream and swirl, oozing and dissipating between syllables and sounds. Given shape by a stout rhythm section — bassist Brett Green, drummer Alex Smith — Melt’s tunes dissolve coolly and are absorbed by the spongy parts of your brain.
