Marijuana Dispensary sales are up despite nearly 70% nationwide drop in retail foot-traffic



As Covid-19 restrictions ease and retailers begin to open back up, despite a May increase in retail foot traffic of 16.7% from the start to the end of the month, there is a roughly 65% drop in traffic compared to this time last year. This data comes from Zenreach, a digital marketing agency driving in-store customers, that has been closely analyzing foot traffic across the country before and during the pandemic.

Interestingly and not surprising to many, seemingly the only industry to not be affected by the shutdowns has been the marijuana or cannabis industries, which has shown an overall increase in retail foot-traffic compared to last year.
