Dr. Faye Jensen, Executive Director of the S.C. Historical Society, discusses the everyday drinking habits of the common man as well as the appeal of finer imported wines to the colonial aristocracy. Jensen draws from the rich archives of the South Carolina Historical Society for specific examples and explains that the state’s drinking habits offer an interesting window to its past.
