Wilco may be headlining, but many will be just as jacked to see indie rock veterans Low make their first appearance at Ovens Auditorium. Low formed in 1993 in Duluth, M.N. and made their name via slow-burn intensity and the incomparable harmonies of Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker. They put the slow in slo-core for years, but their recent Sub Pop output has varied the approach without altering the fundamentals: The Great Destroyer fairly rocked by comparison, and their latest, the Bush nightmare-inspired Drums & Guns, opts for more tape loops and processed sounds than previous Low records. 8 p.m. $32. Ovens Auditorium, 2700 E Independence Blvd. 704-372-3600. www.ovensauditorium.com.
