Lou Barlow

When: Fri., April 13, 7 p.m. 2018

One of the absolute finest songwriters of the 1990s, Lou Barlow today doesn't get the attention of the Liz Phairs or the Pavements or the Pixies, but his songs were equally as important as theirs during the lead-up to what came to be known as the so-called indie/alternative rock explosion. Barlow was a founding member of Dinosaur Jr., and went on to record numerous classic '90s albums with his bands Sebadoh, Sentridoh and the Folk Implosion. His stinging, personal songwriting is as honest as it gets. Don't miss the chance to see Barlow perform an intimate show at Lunchbox — it'll be a million times better than having watched the Pixies phone in Doolittle at Ovens. — Mark Kemp
