Slap Happy

Hilarious, made me laugh (QC After Dark: "Most people shake hands to say 'hi'" by Brittney Cason, Aug. 27). Nice work! I do believe I've either heard or read once before of this hand/inner thigh greeting, must be an Eskimo or drunk European thing. Or I could be wrong. You should have slapped her in the FACE! As a guy, I would expect nothing less.

Two Birds, One Stone

(In response to "We can do this" by Perry Tannenbaum, Aug. 20) The vacant real estate along Indy Blvd. provides an excellent location for small theater companies and related arts. Perhaps along with a school of the arts too. This idea could be incorporated with residential and small/medium business development along that corridor -- something different beside big box retail.

Up in Smoke

Regarding John Groom's column: "High time to decriminalize pot" (Boomer With Attitude, Aug. 6), I say it's high time to fully legalize pot. Not just remove the penalties for its use or possession.

Only fully legal products of any kind can be regulated, taxed and controlled by any government agency.

Speaking of taxing pot, it seems to me that nonmarijuana users would be in favor of taxing pot. Around these parts, taxing someone else's vice is very popular.
