Supremacy or just stupidity?
Thanks CL for opening the eyes of our soon-to-be racists cohabitants of this region ("Inside the Secret World of White Supremacy," Nov. 1). It was great to show how truly ignorant and elementary these racists were during their ho-down -- I mean, convention. There is truly a lesson for those wanting to become a part of any of these worthless organizations that can be learned from this: Why be part of a group whose whole principle and need for existence is based on stupidity. 88 for two HH or 311 for KKK -- how simple. To these moral scums it is secret code, but to the rest of the civilized nation these are just simple notations of ignorance. And to the actual band 311, I hope they don't receive any backlash from this "new" discovery. Thanks for exposing some true idiots and even better, allowing them to expose the truth about themselves.

Thanks for writing this article. It is quite stunning to hear people so openly admit to their own ignorance. We should remember that most Christians don't hate, and the real ones remember that even a Jewish God said to love your brother as yourself.

Punish the crook This story ("Whipping Boy Beaten," Nov. 8) hit the head on the hammer. Punished the crook, not the police doing their job. Something is wrong with this picture. Tara, please hurry up and run for office, no kidding, you are what we need in city hall.
Give it a rest (In response to "Don't Panic: Who is Jim Baker and why should you care?", Oct. 25) You people are laughable!!!!

Stealing road signs Enjoyed this article ("Street Stories," Nov. 8). Speaking of Dick Road losing it's sign, how many times has Gastonia had to replace one of the Titman Road signs????
A thanks to Tara and Creative Loafing or attempting to share this side of Islamic culture with the public ("Boy Meets Girl," Oct. 18). It is hard to capture something as vast as this in one story. But if readers have an open mind and seek to understand Islam and our traditions more, perhaps some will find that we have many "values" in commnon. Thanks for opening this door to a better understanding. Reading articles like this is helpful, but to better understand I would always recomend finding practicing Muslims to talk with and further explain and clarify. This story was ridiculed by the Islamophobe and hatemonger in residence at WBT 1110 AM, Jeff Katz (3-6). Again, a thanks to Creative Loafing for not taking the side of ignorance and hate, by attempting to present a diverse and personal story about Muslims.
In last week's news lead "The A-Team," the phone number for the Mobile Crisis Team was incorrectly printed. The correct phone number is 704-566-3410.
