We all know that reading is FUN-damental, so in that case this event should interest us all. Davidson College is hosting a literary reading by Russell Banks, author and 1985 recipient of the John Dos Passos Prize for fiction. Banks' writings reveal the tragedies people face and the recession in everyday life (now we all can relate to that). Did I mention there was no admission price? The only thing you need is a ticket, which can be obtained in person from Alvarez College Union Box Office from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., or at the door an hour prior to the lecture. Free. 7:30 p.m. Duke Family Performance Hall at Davidson College, 207 Faculty Dr. (Davidson) 704-894-2135.
