A mysterious young man arrives at the haberdashery in Primandproper, Massachusetts to sell the proprietor, Miss Dorothy Simple, a new bill of gods in THE CASE OF THE CRUSHED PETUNIAS. Then, two young men get caught up with a woman, whose gone "all serious," in IN OUR PROFESSION. In TALK TO ME LIKE THE RAIN AND LET ME LISTEN, a young couple caught in a cyclical pattern of destruction replay an all too familiar scene. Finally, in THE MAGIC TOWER, unexpected visitors further complicate the relationship between newlyweds whose relationship pivots between reality and illusion.
