At Levine Museum of the New South, a re-created Tryon Streetstorefront holds a permanent exhibit on Charlotte’s surprising 1930s heyday as a recording center for country and gospel music. Join local stringband the Kollard Kings as they dip into that songbag, including tunes by the famed Carter Family and “Father of Bluegrass” Bill Monroe. With Donny Murray, guitar; Tom Estes, banjo; Mike Plumley, bass; Tom Hanchett, fiddle. Presented by Charlotte Folk Society in partnership with Levine Museum.
