Forget Farmville, because the Know Your Farms Tour is the real plowing deal! No hostilities against the PC game, but getting away from the computer and onto an actual real-life farm wins any day - that is, if you don't mind getting your feet a little dirty and/or soaking them in vinegar (to prevent against the spread of possible diseases from farm to farm) and smelling whiffs of poo every now and then. During the Know Your Farms Tour locally-based participating farms allow visitors to explore their territory, which comes along with produce and livestock. Past tours have offered hay rides, food tastings, petting zoos and more. It's fun, informative, and full of surprises (making pals with calf is priceless). Some of this year's stops include former participants Happy Hills Alpaca Farm and Allee'Bubba Farm, among others. Newbies include Cackleberry Farms, which is offering cheeses, beef, pork and eggs. For more information on the event and those participating in the tour, visit www.knowyourfarmstour.com.
Price: Vehicle passes for two-days is $25
