WHAT: As the city of Charlotte begins to reopen its businesses, Kimpton Tryon Park and Angeline’s begin their own awakening from temporary hibernation. As of today, Thursday, May 28, Tryon Park has opened its doors to hotel guests looking for a welcoming and safe place to stay.
Over the past few weeks, the hotel and restaurant teams have been hard at work to build upon already high cleanliness standards to implement multiple add-ons to cleaning and disinfecting practices to protect the health and safety of guests and employees. However, changes aside, Tryon Park promises not to lose the specialness that makes a uniquely Kimpton experience. Guests will still enjoy beloved amenities such as morning coffee hour, evening social hour, in-room yoga mats, complimentary PUBLIC bikes, and pet-friendly policies. How each of these is experienced moving forward just may have a bit of a different approach to stay within the new standards and respect physical distancing suggestions from national and local governments. Angeline’s, the adjacent Italian-influenced modern American restaurant has also reopened to welcome both carry-out and delivery service as of Tuesday, May 26. The menu for this service model includes fan favorites such as the Whipped Ricotta appetizer, Pappardelle Bolognese pasta, and Tiramisu dessert. Delivery is available via Door Dash, Grubhub and Uber Eats and hours of operation are 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The Angeline’s team is also gearing up to welcome folks back to its dining room and outdoor patio on Tuesday, June 2. For now, the hours of the operation will be Sundays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Executive Chef Robert Hoffman and his team are eagerly awaiting the moment to welcome diners back into Angeline’s and will be revealing a refreshed menu with seasonal additions sure to become instant hits.
While the locally loved rooftop lounge Merchant & Trade will not yet be reopening its doors, expect an announcement in the near future. In the meantime, M&T invites everyone to enjoy the taste and the vibe of the rooftop in their own homes. Its new IG Live DJ series, including a pre-show cocktail demonstration by lead bartender Henry Schmulling, will kick off tonight at 6 p.m. and take place every Thursday through June 18.
