Using a keyboard, vocals and various looping effects, 32-year-old Kansas singer/artist Kawehi gained viral video status after her cover of Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box” made the rounds. Her original songs are also driven by her ability to create massive soundscapes on her own — though it can, at times, get a bit tedious to watch. As her on-stage comfort grows, she’ll surely leave more of a mark on the live music world. (Jeff Hahne)
