JOHN BUTLER TRIO
A former busker from the Australian port city of Freemantle, John Butler defies comparison. An acoustic guitarist who employs open tunings, he runs his slide and six and 11 strings through banks of effects, reeling out cyclical patterns that range from smoothly meditative to incendiary. Butler has taken the jam band world by storm, but his blend of blues, classic rock, Celtic, funk and folk transcends any scene.
