When: Mon., Oct. 4, 6:30-8 p.m., Mon., Oct. 11, 6:30-8 p.m. and Mon., Oct. 18, 6:30-8 p.m.

This four week online interactive workshop explores the life of legend Charlie Parker. JazzArts Charlotte partners with UNC Charlotte to offer this workshop led by Dr. Kelsey Klotz as part of a full celebration and recognition of Charlie Parker’s Centennial +1. Legendary jazz saxophonist Charlie Parker, nicknamed “Bird”, led the development of bebop with his blazing virtuosity and revolutionary ideas. An icon for the hipster subculture, Parker personified the jazz musician as an uncompromising artist and intellectual rather than just an entertainer. His tragically short life was as fast paced as his music. Registration https://77397.blackbaudhosting.com/77397/page.aspx?pid=208&csid=3506FE0B-149D-459e-A48B-98FE6E322FF4
