If there's a Charlotte FemmeFest, then why isn't there a DudeFest? That's the question Evening Muse co-owner asked his wife, Lea, when the two were talking about the inaugural female-centric festival three years ago. Well, his wish has come true as their efforts have culminated in the first DudeFest, to be held in NoDa on June 26.

Featuring more than 20 bands -- Truckstop Preachers, Transmission Fields, gogo Pilot, Leslie, M4 Messenger -- DudeFest will also feature some man-centric activities such as a beer tasting, chicken wing eating contest and motorcycle rally.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the show, with proceeds going to Save the Ta-tas and Pints for Prostates. The event will be held at The Evening Muse, Neighborhood Theatre and the Outdoor Stage at Salvador Deli, among other places.
