In My life: The Artwork of John Lennon

When: Fri., May 3, 5-9 p.m., Sat., May 4, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sun., May 5, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. 2013

John Lennon was more than just a Beatle, he was an advocate for peace, spreading his love through music, activism, art and ... Yoko Ono. Besides his musical legacy, Lennon left behind plenty of lesser-known material, including many drawings and sketches. In an effort to raise money for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina — an organization that provides food to those in need and raises awareness of the plight of hunger — these works are coming to Charlotte, where they will be shown in Doubletree Suites’ Barringer Ballroom. Presented by Yoko Ono and Legacy Fine Art & Productions, they are only in Charlotte for three days, so be sure to check them out.
