Sagittarius The Archer: (Nov. 22-Dec. 20)

You are a bit short on patience and probably have a heavy accelerator foot. Overall, though, good things are happening. Chill.

For All Signs: The winter solstice this year is timed at 3:17 a.m. on the 22nd. This is the point of deepest darkness in the northern hemisphere. Ancient people celebrated the "return" of the sun within a few days following the solstice, when it became apparent that it would, indeed, come back. The zodiacal degree of the winter solstice is at zero Capricorn. This is considered the World Point and bears the mystical symbolism of new birth into the world of matter.

Although we have a solstice every year, this one is of major importance because of the presence of Pluto on this zero degree of Capricorn for the first time in 248 years. It is not only a new birth of the year to come, but represents transformation of tremendous magnitude for individuals and the globe at large.

In my humble opinion, this marks the spiritual birth of the new era of humankind. Many have heard of the winter solstice of 2012 which was identified by the Mayans as the beginning of a new Great Year of the world. A Great Year is 25,765 years, the length of time required for one full cycle of precession.

The Mayans were gifted mathematicians and thus could identify a specific date for the New Beginning. But the truth is that when we are talking about the span of 26,000 years, the beginning could easily be plus or minus up to 10 years. It most surely would require a few years to make the transition.

During a time of such great import, we must look around us. Does this look like a point of a new beginning? Are we ready to clean up our human damage on the planet and foster the good of Mother Earth? All it really takes is the decision to take a deep breath and clean it up. The political climate is ready and we have what it takes to make the world a far better place for the next full cycle of precession.

Aries: You have strong opinions. This week brings an inner or outer struggle between your need to be right versus your need to be just.

Taurus: The law, the "rules," the requirements or expectations of one of the powers in your life is an irritant. By the end of the week you will focus upon seeking or offering healing.

Gemini: There are occasionally moments in life when we are focused upon contemplation of the deeper topics. Why am I here? What is my purpose? Where am I headed?

Cancer: Nit-pickin' details and routine work are interfering with your desire to pursue lofty and spiritual subjects.

Leo: Your work routine is undergoing a major transition or overhaul. This is your week to recognize and absorb the changes into your consciousness.

Virgo: Your attention is focused on personal creativity, children and/or lovers. Perhaps you are preparing details for the holidays ahead. Don't gamble.

Libra: Don't allow "expectations" to ruin your good time. Let them go. Offer help and soothing to someone beloved to you.

Scorpio: Something in your environment is preventing you from feeling fully comfortable this week. You need to fix the nuisance irritations and let the complaints go.

Capricorn: The power of your being is required now. This could be physical exertion or it might be that you need to hold your territory firmly in place. Use the most mature expression you know.

Aquarius: A nagging fear is lurking in the back of your mind. Don't let it run your show. Focus your energy on how you can help others at this time and the fear will subside.

Pisces: This is a very quiet week for you. Spend time focused on those things that are spiritually uplifting. That might be music, good reading materials, poetry, meditation.
