A horizon line is formed where we observe the edge of the earth meeting the sky. It happens in a space that is almost tangible, where we could seemingly travel, except that as we approach, our changing perspective produces a new distant edge. This dynamic space offers metaphors of consciousness meeting the unconscious, the known and the unknown, and an evolving, intangible finish line. Works by Queens Professor Emeritus Rick Crown, Professor Jane Johnson and Assistant Professor Denny Gerwin will address this theme in a variety of media.
