I fell in love with this band’s folksy, banjo-led sound in college when I saw them play at The Evening Muse then covered their embarassingly non-attended show on campus for my college paper. In the years since, I’ve moved away from that overdone folkish backwoods sound, but luckily, HGTR has adapted with me. Their new, melodic blues-rock style adds maturity while keeping the same high energy level. They now put on a different but still great show.
