Dan Michman will present a talk titled 'Dire Straits.' Or: What Exactly is 'The Holocaust'?" Michman is Head of the International Institute of Holocaust Research, Professor of Modern Jewish History, and Chair of the Finkler Institute of Holocaust Research at Bar-Ilan University. His talk will consider means of tackling the vocabulary, methodology, conceptualization and politics of Holocaust Studies, and the Nazi genocide of European Jewry.
